  1. FML! I just realized i spelled “motivation” wrong in the opening title!!!

  2. Haha, I didn’t even notice the mis-spelling until I saw your comment! I love your practice of posting your goals on your refrigerator and writing on the bathroom mirror. I do the same thing. Although I’ve written it with a cheap eyeliner pencil – a dry erase marker would probably be less weird, haha! I find it interesting that my internal motivation sometimes changes moment to moment, especially while training. I don’t always have to be able to write it down, but I just have to keep following whatever little voice inside that says “keep going”.

  3. Good for you making a video!! I think it is great that you have decided to share your experiences and such. It takes courage to put yourself out there whether in writing or in a video. We learn a lot by hearing what others have found to work or not work. My motivation these days is survival. I am a few months shy of turning 50. Hard to believe that I am that old. I don’t feel like it, but no denying the date on the calendar. I spent the summer before this last one helping my sister through a crisis. It drove home to me with sharp clarity the need for me to not only remain physically strong, but get stronger. I have always been a health nut and have run since I was 16, but as you get older it takes more effort to maintain a given level of strength. I see no reason why I can’t make myself stronger. The body will build muscle and the internal organs will keep repairing themselves as long as they get what they need. My aim is to to be strong and healthy enough to do not only what I need to do and want to do, but be in a position to help my sister and parents when they need me. I am big on planning and being organized. I find it is the best way to fit everything in during the day and not forget what I am supposed to do whether it is health related or bill paying. I like using 3 by 5 cards pinned to my bulletin board or stuck on the refrigerator. Good luck with your efforts!
